"Digital pathology" is a current and rapidly developing field of research. The HORUS project aims to contribute to this by researching non-destructive tissue diagnostics. HORUS is a 36-month joint project with cooperation partners from industry, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and university hospitals. One of the goals of the project is the creation of a demonstrator software for the high-resolution spatial ("3D") representation of the tissue, which will be embedded in a newly developed workflow of histopathological tissue preparation. In our subproject "Distortion-free intersection surface histology", the necessary basics for high-resolution spatial representation and the extended workflow are significantly developed. The establishment is carried out by coupling conventional pathological with novel digital methods to control tissues, the experimental testing will take place on preparation
