Now, Let’s Get Down to Business
Reporting to the Global Payroll Director, based in the USA, you will be responsible for managing the payroll process for Germany, specifically for our Plant, Technical and Commercial teammates. This will involve; ensuring accurate and timely payrolls whilst considering time and attendance data, applying collective agreement measures, company pay policies, local tax and social security regulations. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with HR Business Partners, Finance Colleagues and our Shared Service Center to ensure payroll and HR data is accurately and timely entered in the appropriate HR, Finance and payroll systems. In addition, you will need to provide regular standard reporting relating to overhead cost planning and analysis, and lead our implementation of global time & attendance and payroll projects (Kronos, MyPay). You’ll have a real passion for Payroll and will be looking for the opportunity to utilize your knowledge to lead our payroll function.
Here are some of the things that we’re looking for:
- Proven experience of managing payroll processes, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Experience of overhead cost planning, HR controlling, analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of time and attendance, and shift pattens
- Knowledge of social security, tax laws and regulations
- Understanding of collective agreement of metal and electricity for North Rhine-Westphalia or comparable collective agreement
- Ability to supervise and drive projects, structure and prioritize tasks and processes, and lead small teams
- Highly numerate and detailed oriented
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and functions
- Fluent in both German and English
- Valid work permit in Germany
