Your tasks

Occupational health and safety

• Ensure EHS in the Manufacturing, Technology/D&D and Service divisions to maintain and improve a safe working environment.
• Conduct risk assessments and coordinate necessary measures with specialist departments for workplace design in line with occupational health and safety regulations
• Give expert advice to managers and employees in connection with technological feasibility, corrective or preventive measures in all matters of occupational health and safety
• Promote occupational health and safety awareness by implementing Kaizen initiatives, adopting best known methods, and communicating within your sector
• Hold training on EHS processes, software tools, and root cause analysis methods
• Periodically implement internal audits and effectiveness checks in accordance with the audit plan to increase workplace safety

Accident management

• Follow-up accidents and maintain accident documentation
• Perform risk classification of all types of accidents as well as support accident cause analyses including control of the implementation of appropriate measures
• Promote accident reduction by holding campaigns

Emergency preparedness

• Plan, organize and follow-up first aid, first-aid training and fire protection assistant training at the Berlin site
• Supervise emergency precautions when working alone
• Organize, maintain, expand and optimize emergency reporting chain when working alone
• Contact person for ensuring the functionality of the personal emergency signal devices

Your qualifications

• Completed studies in engineering (e.g. chemical engineering, process engineering, precision mechanics, mechanical engineering) or equivalent qualification (bachelor, technician, master craftsman)
• At least 3 years of experience in the area of occupational health and safety and environmental protection with a manufacturing company in the chemical or precision engineering industry
• Qualified occupational health and safety specialist
• Relevant additional qualification (e.g., fire protection, hazmat, ergonomics, noise, laser protection, project management skills, etc.)
• Ideally, experience with management systems (ISO 45001, 14001, 9001) or relevant problem-solving methods (8D, FMEA, 5xWhy, Ishikawa, etc.)
