In addition to the technical support of the servers, workstation computers, databases and the network, this also includes the support of programs for resource, campus and document management as well as other individual applications.Your Responsibilities
  • Further development of the existing network infrastructure of the university administration,
  • Identification of vulnerabilities, analyses regarding their impact on the IT system landscape and the respective specialist applications,
  • Creation and planning of implementation concepts in coordination with the various departments,
  • Analysis of hardware and software needs, product evaluations and comparisons, and implementation of economic feasibility studies,
  • Failure analysis network and network security area,
  • Participation in IT projects,
  • Support in process management.
Your Profile
  • A completed bachelor’s or (technical) university degree in computer science, proven comparable qualifications or completed training as an IT specialist with proven comparable knowledge and experience,
  • Sound knowledge of network topologies, network protocols and services,
  • in-depth knowledge in the area of next generation firewalls,
  • profound know-how in LAN/WAN topologies, routing/switching and security technologies such as IDS/IPS (desirable),
  • very good knowledge of German, both written and spoken (min. level C1),
  • willing to independent project work,
  • service-oriented, structured way of working,
  • reliable, independent, careful, proactive and responsible,
  • Fun in the exchange with the users.
