A day in MS&T Analytics

In order to ensure the supply of biopharmaceutical products for our patients, we are building a new innovative facility for biopharmaceutical production at Teva’s site in Ulm, Germany, called the Genesis Project. The Manufacturing Science and Technologies MS&T department is responsible for the scientific and technological support of the biotechnological production site.

In your new role as Technician of MS&T Analytical department, you will support the MS&T Downstream Processing, Upstream Processing departments and our external manufacturing partners with high quality analytical data of various analytical techniques that are applied to analyse biological products. Besides execution of analytical assays, you will also be responsible for general laboratory operations, i.e. maintenance of qualified status of laboratory equipment, inventory management, writing of SOP, qualification, methods in-housing documents…etc. As an employee in Bio MS&T, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team at important interfaces with several areas and to actively help to shape our processes and workflows.

Who Are We Searching For

You are

• a team player with strong organizational and communication skills
• familiar with electrophoretic and immunological techniques and equipment (ELISA, CE, cIEF or cSDS, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot) and open to learn new methodologies
• familiar with GMP-compliant documentation of workflows and summary of results in the form of reports
• motivated to work in an international environment with contacts to R&D and contract manufacturers
• ready to be part of a team for continuous processes / methods improvement, troubleshooting and deviations investigation in collaboration with the relevant commercial manufacturing site (in-house or 3rd party)
  

You have

• a completed vocational training (e.g. biological lab assistant, chemical lab assistant, BTA, CTA, PTA) or BSc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology
• a basic knowledge of working principles in GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and/or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment
• preferably, work experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry
• practical knowledge in electrophoretic and immunological method development/validation/transfer
• very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
• intermediate knowledge of the common MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project)
• good organizational skills with ability to organize and prioritize the work
