Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization

This role supports the Director - or Senior Project Manager in ensuring that the targets of the Finance S&P Team are achieved. He/she drives cross-functional communication within Finance & GBS and drives small to medium size projects by applying Project Management methodologies like PMI, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Agile in close collaboration with the assigned project team members. He/she is responsible to drive high quality and fast execution of finance priorities that will contribute to the Company’s strategy and Finance long-term roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director or Senior Project Manager in planning project timelines, milestones, follow up tasks and resources using appropriate PMO tools and methodologies
  • Develop full-scale project plans and related communication to all stakeholders
  • Effectively apply state-to-the art project management methodologies and standards
  • Coordinate, prepare and oversee communication on behalf of the PMO
  • Support the Finance S&P Team in identifying the areas of process improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement of key Finance processes aligning with priorities (VSM); prepare, coordinate and facilitate workshops as needed
  • Create and prepare, together with the Senior PjMs, reports, analytics, and dashboards to Function/Business Heads/Leads
  • Support the PMO in preparing and managing Sponsor(s) and Stakeholder meetings

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Project and process management skills, experience in medium to large scale cross-functional project and/or change programs and knowledge in Agile way of working (scrum, delivery lead)
  • Process and value stream mapping; problem framing & solving
  • Capability to structure, analyze, and synthesize finding, good quantitative and analytical skills
  • Able to use PM tools like SmartSheet and Jira; strong excel & PowerPoint skills
  • High degree of self-management, flexibility, and proactive drive to perform
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with clear understanding of target audience; fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong team player with the ability to interact with different functions and different cultures within the team and organization
  • Comprehensive understanding of Finance and respective processes
  • Good understanding of adidas Group’s overall internal structure, business lines, and services
  • Ability to connect the dots; challenge counterparts by bringing practical solutions to the table

Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in Business Administration or similar
  • 5 or more years of work experience in the sporting goods industry
  • Experience in project management
  • Ideally experience in Process Mapping/Process Improvements and “Lean Management” principles
  • PMI and/or Agile Certification a plus
  • Experience in finance or consultancy is a plus
