Entity and activity description


Air Liquide Engineering & Construction
builds the Group’s production units (mainly air gas separation and hydrogen production units) and provides external customers with efficient, sustainable, customized technology and process solutions.

To provide customers with the gases required for their industrial production, Air Liquide engineers have developed innovative proprietary technologies. The Group designs and constructs gas production units, from the feasibility study stage through to the delivery of the complete installation, for its own use or for sale to customers who prefer to insource their gas requirements. Air Liquide complies with the increasingly strict safety, reliability and competitiveness requirements of Air Separation Units and hydrogen units


Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions Germany is located in Frankfurt am Main (Olof-Palme-Str. 35 60439 Frankfurt am Main). It is one of the main engineering centers and has interaction with all the other engineering and manufacturing centers and hosting the global E&C Organisation.


The E&C Global Operation Control team responsibility consists in consolidating, analyzing and reporting the E&C Business Unit’s financial results and for providing E&C Management and the Group with timely and accurate analysis and information on business performance (Flash, Reforecasts, Targets).

The team is in direct contact with 16 engineering centers / Front End Offices located across the world and is the privileged entry point to be able to have a 360° view of E&C activities in the zone (order in take, project execution, financials) and to be able anticipate any risk/opportunities of the centers’ operation that may impact its financial performances.

The E&C team is also directly exposed to the E&C Management and shall be ready to provide ad-hoc studies if required.


Missions and Responsibilities


As a Junior Global Operations Controller, you will be part of the Global Operations Control team with the following missions:

  • support the Global Operations Control team in data analytics as well as maintenance and consolidation, in particular under the BPC (Business Planning Consolidation) database and Power BI interface
  • produce dashboards, reports and performance analysis for the different internal stakeholders (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
  • coordinate with Group finance and controlling team on analytics and financial data management
  • improve and develop the current reporting tools
  • work on ad-hoc studies and projects raised by the management (profitability, OiT (Order intake), etc…)

With two major objectives:

  • Be a reliable team member for operation control activities
  • Develop and maintain the existing Power BI and BPC applications together with detailed supporting documents to make it sustainable for the long term.

Competencies and Profile
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field: Finance, Data Analytics, Management, Business Administration
  • Has experience or strong interest to work on IT tools (BPC applications, PowerBI..) and keen to understand programming languages
  • Analytical capacities and thinking
  • good communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of finance

Language requirements: Fluency in English is mandatory.


Additional information


Position based in Frankfurt, Germany for an initial period of 12 months, renewable once.
