Position Overview
Harris Williams is seeking a Vice President to join the Healthcare & Life Sciences Group in our Frankfurt, Germany office. Vice Presidents at HW play an integral role in all of the firm’s merger and acquisition advisory activities and each Vice President is expected to experience rapid professional growth to the Director and Managing Director levels. Vice Presidents are expected to play an active leadership role during every phase of the deal execution process and are encouraged to handle a high level of responsibility on transaction teams. Vice Presidents oversee the development of both initial pitch material and descriptive memoranda and are expected to actively lead drafting sessions and due diligence meetings, as well as conversations with clients and counter parties. Vice Presidents are also responsible for the integrity of the valuation analyses and merger and acquisition models developed in concert with Analysts and Associates. In addition, Vice Presidents are encouraged to participate actively in new business development.
Experience and Character Traits
Harris Williams dedicates a great deal of effort to hire individuals who have demonstrated outstanding academic and professional achievement. Eligible candidates should have at least five years of investment banking experience, preferably with a focus on M&A transactions. In addition, candidates should exhibit strong orientation to detail, leadership skills, ability to perform well under pressure, a willingness to work long hours, and strong oral and written communication skills.

Selling. – Applies knowledge of banking products and services to meet customer needs and enable them to achieve their financial goals. Identifies prospecting approaches to identify potential customers and create opportunities to sell financial solutions and ideas to customers. Team Management – Knowledge of effective team building techniques and ability to form and manage effective teams. Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required.
