Uplift1 is revolutionizing startup growth financing. With our revenue-based financing solution, we enable founders to scale their companies without losing equity. We support startups in Series A and beyond with financings of up to €500k. You will be part of an experienced founder team with backgrounds from Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Holtzbrinck Ventures, Rocket Internet, WHU, Uni Mannheim, and many others. We are backed by investors who have previously founded investment firms with +€100mn assets under management and startups with +€100mn in annual revenue.

Tasks

As Venture Building Working Student you will work directly with the founder on all investment- and business development related topics such as:
  • Supporting investment decisions of up to €500k with qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Implementing strategic growth projects such as the expansion in new markets or new verticals etc.
  • Independently sourcing deals via relevant online channels and managing inbound deal flow
  • Contributing to and managing Uplift1’s investor network consisting of top-tier VCs, business angels and private investors
  • Optimizing existing processes & workflows and identifying areas of further improvement
Requirements
  • You are in your third semester or higher in a business-related field of study
  • You have practical work experience in venture building / entrepreneurship or other relevant fields (e.g. finance or consulting)
  • You have an analytical, proactive and data-driven approach with a hands-on mentality, strong ownership and high attention to detail
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial analysis in MS Excel is a plus
  • You have very strong communication skills (fluent German is required)
  • You are available for min. 10 weeks (longer periods are preferred)
