Grid Field Operations is executing Field Operations, Maintenance and (Baseload) Projects. We ensure the integrity and safety of our assets entrusted to us, while also ensuring their maximum availability. We make sure that the onshore grids of TenneT is reliable in Germany and the Netherlands.

Your contribution to TenneT

With your encouraged Grid Operations Team you are leading and managing the operational business of a modern Offshore Grid Connection System. Herein you are highly motivated taking entrepreneurship for an assigned Offshore Grid Connection Cluster being accountable for a safe and value based working environment, a secure energy transmission, and financial health – in line with a high technical integrity of your assets.

Your Contribution
  • Within the role as a Grid Connection Lead you are a member of the internal Leadership Team (GFO-O Execution Area) and actively contributing to and co-owning the unit strategy and its implementation
  • You are an inspiring, motivating, value based team coach leading the Grid Operations Team by especially focus of team cohesion, culture and employee development. Furthermore you are directing the functionally assigned operational staff which have been allocated towards the GC-Cluster within a matrix organisation
  • As a Grid Connection Lead you own the operational performance and the business planning processes of your Grid Connection Cluster with respect to all operations, maintenance, and project activities
  • You are accountable for the overall operational management at your Grid Connection Cluster with focus on safety, compliance, reliability and finance to contribute as best to the overall unit strategies, key results and targets
  • You are assuming operational duties (Betreiberpflichten) according to German legislation at the dedicated GC-Cluster – especially during the execution of maintenance and project campaigns . This includes your eam, other TenneT internal resource and external service providers. You set up the required organisation and you are monitoring the associated activities by ensuring reporting and documentation.
  • You are intrinsically striving for a personal and operational performance, learning and development, balancing risk and chances for a continuous improvement of the entrusted team, organization and assets. The implementation of operational strategies and concepts lays in your responsibility in order to drive operational excellence
  • You are establishing a high performance culture based on a high quality of interaction (strong team cohesion) and quality of direction (solution and progress orientated way of thinking and working)
  • In your role as a Grid Connection Lead you actively contribute towards a top class safety culture and an environment in which everyone goes home safe every day. This requires the incumbent to develop his/her own safety leadership skills and that of staff in all layers of the department to establish a culture of care and trust in which people feel empowered and will achieve the goal of zero incidents
  • As a communicate personality you are passionate in networking to ensure valuable partnership with technical teams, business partner and all relevant internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore you and your team is managing external contractor relationship
