We are Sablono, a next-generation construction software provider currently scaling our team to manage our growth. Launched in 2013, we have been the first of the current batch of Contech startups from Germany and achieved to build the next generation platform for Construction Project Execution Management from scratch. We have successfully scaled the business globally and are proud to be supporting major construction enterprises in the execution of some of the world’s biggest and most complex construction projects.

We are backed by experienced leading AEC investors who recently financed our business in a Series A investment round. We are putting this investment to work by expanding our teams in Berlin (HQ) and London in 2021 and are planning to build out two new international locations in 2022 and 2023.

Our portfolio consists of a mobile application which allows users to report their achieved construction work progress while being on site as well as a comprehensive web platform which offers dashboards, planned vs actual KPIs and visualisations based on e.g. floor plans to analyse the state of the project in real-time.

You will join our team as the first UX professional and will closely collaborate with a human factors-experienced product manager. You will be responsible for the UX of the entire product and strongly involved in its future development. Together with our PM you will set up development workflows according to your needs.

We are an agile and open-minded team that acknowledges and embraces the relevance of UX and user-centricity as a crucial factor in driving the change process of project management workflows for our clients. That‘s why we need you on the team.

Your work here will include:

• Plan and run qualitative user research studies to understand our users workflows with and without using our product
• Identify user needs as well as enablers and blockers of the change process of our users’ project management workflows
• Assess and iterate on our existing information architecture
• Create wireframes, flow diagrams and information hierarchies for our web-platform as well as our mobile app
• Plan, conduct and analyse different user tests (concept, end-to-end, usability)
• Present your concepts to relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Work closely with the development team during the implementation of new features
• Drive design workflows as well as the improvement of existing design guidelines with our agile team

Therefore, your expertise ideally includes:

• Proven record of successful development and implementation of product designs for web as well as mobile apps – Please send us your portfolio
• At least 4(+) years of experience as a UX designer with a focus on service and conceptional design
• Experience in User Research tools and methods
• Experience in SaaS and B2B software is a plus
• Engaging and empathetic personality with the ability to motivate others
• Eager to take on responsibility and shape Sablonos’ UX of the future
• Great communication skills and ability to present complex ideas to different stakeholders
• Fluent in English (German a plus)
• Valid EU work permit / EU citizenship
