HiveMQ is expanding our Finance and Business Intelligence Team. We are looking for a (Senior) Controller with the responsibility for business planning, performance monitoring and financial reporting.

You will play a vital part in developing process improvements and automation, in close collaboration with our BI team, to drive accounting and controlling with the highest level of accuracy and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and put in place controlling, forecasting, and reporting processes for the company and towards its shareholders
  • Benchmark and drive cost optimization throughout the organization based on a deep understanding of market trends
  • Drive ad-hoc analyses, financial models, and business cases to innovate and influence investment decisions in the organization, with in-depth knowledge of how a SaaS organization operates
  • Review financial information and key financial ratios, conduct cause analyses, and propose possible correction measures
  • Closely cooperate with the leadership team on all investments, service developments, and financial topics
  • Review internal processes, tools, or methods and develop and implement improvements, and automate internal cost monitoring and control processes
  • Support the corporate risk and compliance of Business Finance processes, standards, and systems
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts

Your Profile:

  • +5 years relevant experience in a growth technology/software company where involvement in analysis and sophisticated financial models has been of fundamental importance
  • Ideally SaaS background and experience in revenue and expense control for a SaaS company
  • Analytical skills and ability to easily transition between the "big picture" and deep-diving into detail
  • Experience in the implementation of finance relevant IT systems and BI tools with the ability to quickly recognize systemic relationships
  • Strong project management skills and experience in managing timeframes and stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles (HGB, IFRS)
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Desire and ability to help building the function along with problem-solving skills and a "can-do" attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full verbal and written proficiency in English and German
