Context
We’re proud to be well positioned with our Cloud ERP/EPM, HCM and CX solutions and in order to fuel our current and future growth within our DACH Consulting Practice, we are currently planning to hire one experienced Consulting Practice Leader for our SaaS consulting engagements based in Germany, Switzerland or Austria.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE – APPLICATION/SAAS CONSULTING PRACTICE LEADER FOR DACH
As an acknowledged authority within Oracle, this senior-level management position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership with industry-wide impact.
- Reports to the Head of Application Consulting Northern Europee
- Manages the local consulting management teams and actively participates in the regional consulting management teams
- Works collaboratively with Sales/Pre-Sales, Industries, Support & business support functions to achieve Country, Consulting and Company objectives
- Manages several local consulting practice managers and their respective teams as well as the local consulting sales division
- May sponsor, drive and/or participate in cross-EMEA or global projects/initiatives for Consulting
- Maximises synergy, cooperation and collaboration between the countries and with others in the region
- Ensures the development and implementation of goals and plans for Consulting in line with Global and EMEA Country strategies & directions.
- Builds long-term relations Customers and Partners as a key Oracle representative.
- Devises strategies to develop business and deliver consulting projects & solutions in target industries.
- Develops, negotiates and manages the consulting budgets in terms of revenue, margin, expense, headcount, utilization and capital expenditures.
- Recommends, proposes, secures approval for and implements policies, procedures and programs consistent with Oracle Consulting principles, guidelines and Business practices, aligned with go-to-market strategies & tactics.
- Ensures high level of customer and partner success in project implementation, taking corrective actions as required.
- Defines and implements staffing and competency development strategies in order to enable high performing individuals and teams achieve business objectives while enabling customer success.
- Coaches subordinates to develop their functional, managerial and leadership skills while enabling creativity, the generation of new ideas and productivity improvement.
- Provides a positive organisational climate to employees based in remote locations.
- Drives or participates in cross-EMEA or Oracle global programs as/when directed by senior management and present issues/ strategies to senior management decision making.
- Builds and sustain employee performance & motivation.

Key Skills/Qualifications
- Proven track record in successfully managing a P&L services organisation in the IT-industry.
- Proven ability to sell cloud (consulting) services to customers on CxO level.
- Proven ability to operate in a networked environment (matrix/ multiple reporting / interaction-lines)
- Ability to act & think on operational/ tactical / strategic levels.
- Willingness to travel (under consideration of Covid-related situation)
- Language: Fluency in German & English; French would be a plus

Serves in a senior practice management role, managing a large Service Line staff. Plans, organizes, directs and controls the work activities and staff of a Service Line consulting practice. Normally manages and leads through management team consisting of Practice and Technical Managers and Directors. Responsible for operational results of Service Line group, quality of consulting delivery and assuring reference ability for that group.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or Business or equivalent preferred. Balance of advanced technical skills, functional knowledge, client consultative skills and operational management experience. Has 4+ years of consulting services senior management experience with P & L responsibility and 10-15 years consulting or industry experience. Willing to travel regionally with some national/international travel.
