About the Role:
- Planning and conducting experiments on pilot scale machinery in the Coatema R&D Centre
- Analysing and reporting of experimental results
- Actively managing and reporting on the projects you are responsible for
- Conducting numerical modeling and CFD simulation (COMSOL) of coating and drying of thin films
- Optimisation of Coatema products using simulation techniques
- Translating research results into industrial products
- Presentation at project consortium meetings
- Exchanging knowledge with research partners
- Networking with German and international companies and R&D institutes/universities
- Participating and presenting in scientific events (conferences, exhibitions, etc.)
- Traveling within Europe for project meetings and conferences ▪ Contributing to the research strategy of Coatema
Responsibilities:
- Planning and conducting experiments on pilot scale machinery in the Coatema R&D Centre
- Analysing and reporting of experimental results

Qualifications:
Master or Ph. D. and at least 2 years working experience
Required Skills:
- MSc in Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines/PhD is advantage
- Fundamental knowledge of statistics and data analysis
- Fundamental knowledge of numerical modeling and CFD simulation (COMSOL, OpenFOAM, Ansys)
- Programming skills are an advantage (e.g. Python, C++, Java)
- Analytical thinking skills and Hands-on mentality
- Industrial work experience is an advantage
- Interest and/or experience in managing funded projects
- Familiarity with participating in funded projects is an advantage
- Interest and commitment to the „next thing “
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
