We are now looking for an
R&D Process Engineer (m/f/d)
for our evaporator and condenser product line. The position is permanent and the preferred location is Geesthacht (Hamburg), Germany.
Your role and responsibilities:
In this highly technical role you will develop yourself, becoming the technical expert for evaporators and condensers. You will learn how to carry out successful R&D projects and deliver them within agreed time frame and costs. In close collaboration with your colleagues from engineering and sales you will develop your products further. You will meet requirements from different industries, for example hydrogen production, waste water treatment and marine applications.
During a 2 years learning period you will learn from a Senior Expert about our Evaporator and Condenser Technology. You need to be motivated to learn about the thermodynamics, material selection, process layouts and competitive technologies. You will follow our companies learning philosophy of 70% learning by doing, 20% learning by mentoring and 10% studying. Go on board the next cruise ship and commission it yourself. We will show you how! After this learning period you will be a product expert. You will help us decarbonise industries and secure global freshwater supply.
Requirements for the position:
- Solid engineering background, e.g by a Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree or min. 5 years’ experience in a technical environment
- Self-driven motivation and the ability to learn individually
- Willingness to travel globally (15%)
- Be a team player
- Good knowledge of English
- German would be an advantage
As an ideal candidate you might also have:
- Good understanding of water chemistry and different treatment solution
- Customer value understanding
- Presentation skills for customer and management meeting
- Excellent knowledge of excel and VBA is a plus
- Experience in fluid dynamics with the ability to select pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc.
- Experience in designing control systems with PLC
