We are a leading global Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS) provider, offering messaging, voice and video communication solutions to a large global customer base. Our APIs and the platform deal with over 100 billion engagements annually. Enterprise customers include 8 out of 10 of the largest US tech companies by market capitalization, major airlines, banks, retail, e-tail, internet, ride-hailing, parcel delivery companies and more.

Sinch is growing fast and we are now seeking a Sales Engineer to help us deliver to our clients.

The essence of the role

The Sales Engineer acts as subject matter expert for the Sinch products and is responsible for Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Support, working with both internal teams and directly with customers. The role collaborates closely with sales to plan and execute account strategies and externally by interacting with prospective customers through executive meetings, solution presentations, technical workshops, and follow-up discussions. The emphasis of the role is to help prospects and customers achieve the highest business value possible in a way that is financially rewarding for Sinch as well.

As our new Sales Engineer you will:

  • Provide technical expertise: act as subject matter expert during and prior to sales presentations and meetings; hold product demonstrations with enterprise leaders; provide training to sales team on new products and services.
  • Act as internal Post-Sales technical escalation path for more complicated client issues.
  • Liaise with Account Executives and enterprise leaders to identify technical solutions to grow client business.
  • Partake in strategy and planning throughout the sales cycle for both current and prospective accounts and provide solution calculations to evaluate sales against revenue/margin targets.
  • Own and drive the technical requirements of RFI/RFP responses.

Who are you?

We look for someone who is solutions oriented with a strong sense of accountability and sees things through to the end. You comfortably interact with all levels of organizations and enjoy building business relationships both internally and externally.

In order to be successful in this role you have:

  • University Degree in a technical field.
  • 3 + years’ experience from presales, solution specialist, or equivalent customer facing role in mobile, telecom, network or related industry.
  • Proven track record of successful customer engagement on enterprise and C-level.
  • Expert knowledge in end-to-end processes/solution matching.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills and ability to adapt your message depending on audience’s technical level.
  • Language: Fluency in business English and German, both written and spoken.

Big plus!

The following are meritorious but not a requirement:

  • Project Management experience is an advantage
  • Experience from a hands-on technical role is a big plus
