About This RoleAs the first digital hospital, we are rebuilding the healthcare experience from scratch. To help us maintain this level of care, we need to expand our Operations team with highly motivated and passionate people who thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.As an Operations Manager, you will be a crucial part of fulfilling our mission to raise the standard of secondary care and make it accessible to all by organising all steps for our patients, so they can receive the best medical outcomes and the smooth treatment journey they deserve. Together with the rest of the team, you will create a new way of treating orthopaedic patients in the UK and beyond.What You Will Do- Ensure the seamless running of our patients’ journeys, so patients can be at ease from first contact to the moment they are discharged from our care
- Act as the main point of contact for our partner surgeons and their admin teams, working together to organise everything for our patients, from consultations and surgery dates to other medical appointments and the payment of invoices
- Assist the onboarding of our partner surgeons and their admin team by introducing them to our digital structures and workflows, and setting fair and competitive prices for our care packages
- Work closely together with our Patient Care, Partnerships and Product teams to enable the best patient experience
- Continuously improve internal processes and the ways we work with our partner surgeons and hospitals
- Your command of English is native-level (no German skills required), and you are confident communicating professionally via phone and email
- You have at least two years of experience in Operations, Logistics, Executive Assistance, Customer Service or Secretarial Services
- You have impeccable time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- You can balance working efficiency with a keen attention to detail
- You can remain calm and focus on the outcome for the patient in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- You are a proactive problem solver who can find root causes, develop new best practices and easily adapt your working style accordingly
- You are a self-motivated individual who also excels in a team
- You hold a valid working permit for Germany
- You have experience using Google Sheets or Excel
- You have experience working in Healthcare
- You have experience working in startups

- Screening: After you submit your application materials, we will review them to gauge if they meet our requirements. We aim to get back to you as soon as possible.
- Recruiter call: If you pass the initial screening, we will be in touch to schedule an initial video call. The goal of this initial video interview is to learn more about you and what you are looking for. This call is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Medbelle and the role so that we can both evaluate if there is a mutual fit.
- Assessment Centre: Stage 1: If this all goes well, we will be in touch to schedule a face-to-face interview with the Orthopaedics Team Lead and Orthopaedics Operations Manager. This will allow you to show how your experience will help you contribute to the role and department. Your interview will be evaluated right away while you will have a short break. Stage 2: If you pass stage 1, you will start working on a case study, which you will present to your potential colleagues at the Team Interview, including a Patient Care Adviser and Product Manager.
- Cultural alignment interview: Your final conversation will be a more personal chat with one of our colleagues, usually a co-founder. It will ensure that you will be a great addition to our entire team and will feel at home here.
