We are looking for a passionate and motivated Master’s student to work on an exciting project in the field of Terminals and Distribution Centers. The #Master thesis will be carried out in collaboration with your supervising professor and offers the opportunity to mathematically model a real #logistical problem from our working world and develop a #software solution.

What you can move with us:

  • You carry out mathematical modeling in the field of operations research
  • In close cooperation with the team and your supervisor at INFORM, you will develop a prototype to solve the logistics problem
  • You will integrate software programming to implement the solution
  • Finally, you will create a presentation of the results. With this presentation you enter into dialog with your team an your supervisor at INFORM

What you bring along:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree
  • Very good knowledge of operations research, especially mathematical programming
  • Good knowledge of software programming, whereby experience in C++ or Java is necessary
  • Interest and enthusiasm for future-oriented topics and environmental issues
  • Ideally initial experience in the implementation of closed projects
  • Excellent communication skills and interest in teamwork
  • Matriculation at a university/university of applied sciences in Aachen and/or the surrounding area
  • Prospect of finding a supervising professor at your university
  • Duration of the Master thesis approx. 6 months
