Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Junior Service Programmer (Java) (f/m/d)at Ubisoft Düsseldorf who wants to expand their knowledge and apply their skills in a professional setting. We are looking for someone with a background in development, specifically with skills in Java. This person will work closely to assist the team in general Java tasks as well as tasks relating to our various projects. Their contributions will ultimately support many Ubisoft productions.

What you will do:

  • Assist the team with development tasks and support our online services used throughout the company
  • Cooperate with project management to ensure on-time high quality delivery
  • Thoroughly document your work in order to transfer knowledge to your team members
  • Ability to follow a development plan broken down into small, clear tasks

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Experience as a software engineer (Java)
  • Knowledge of Agile and Continuous Delivery practices
  • Familiar with analyzing and debugging
  • Ability to work in an agile, fluent English speaking team
  • Knowledge of Restful Web Services (both consuming and producing sides) is a plus
  • Micro Service Architecture experience is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps culture is a plus
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud providers is a plus
  • Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
