As Global Product Analyst you will be in charge for the evaluations on productline-performance, -positioning, -life cycle management, -IP protection and market situation for medium voltage indoor products (IDP) in Distribution Solutions/Electrification. You will work within the IDP Global Product Manager team and in cooperation with the global product marketing, the R&D and the factory teams.

You will report to the Teamleader of the IDP Global Product Management and hosted at ABB in Ratingen/Germany.

The position is limited until the end of 2023.

Your responsibilities
  • Detailed elaboration of knowledge and documentation of the market situation, like elaboration and documentation of application and customer segments, market shares, competitive landscape, market and technology trends
  • Monitoring the product portfolio situation, eg. volume, revenue, profitability, quality evaluations
  • Managing the existing product portfolio, eg. life cycle management
  • Supporting in customer benefit analyses, eg. need, value, feature/service analysis
  • Supporting in the strategic planning of new product portfolios, eg. business plans, IP landscape evaluations
  • Assisting and planning of market offering, eg. creation of portfolio overviews
Your background
  • Experience in electrotechnical field or with electrotechnical products
  • Knowledge and experience in calculations and presentations
  • Experience in working with database management, intellectual properties and product value propositions are a plus
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineer with focus on electrical engineering
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
