All we need is...

a smart Financial Controller

As Financial Controller you are part of the Nedis Business Intelligence team and you report to the Finance Manager. Together with another financial controller you will be overlooking all accounting & reporting matters within Nedis with an extra focus on personnel remuneration, you will control the deliverables of Nedis Financial shared service center (FSSC) and take part in the Group reporting, Management reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting circles.

Within your role as Financial Controller, you have a lot of autonomy and responsibility. You are a spider in the web and you see the smallest reporting errors in an instant. You are assertive and know how to get things done. No report is too difficult for you and you are familiar with Excel. Together with the team in Riga, you optimize Nedis Group’s reporting and accounting and management. Your workplace is in the Netherlands.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Quality control of FSSC performance;
  • Weekly, monthly and yearly Group and Management reporting;
  • Cash flow forecasting;
  • Taking the ownership over Personnel expenses section of Nedis P&L;
  • Taking part in Budgeting and Forecasting (quarterly);
  • Supporting yearly audits;
  • Various processes and systems improvements.

Skills, Experience and Personal Characteristics:

  • Proven experience in accounting and/or Financial Control;
  • Have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality and accuracy;
  • Be able to work effectively to meet deadlines;
  • Embraces change, with a ’can do’ attitude;
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to in-house systems and suggest improvements;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced dynamic environment successfully managing multiple tasks & priorities;
  • Advanced Excel skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English (Dutch is a pré).
