SHE Manager*

At BioNTech Innovative Manufacturing Services you will make a decisive contribution to the production of cellular drugs and gene therapeutics for use in clinical studies.
Your main responsibilities are:
  • Plan, implement, monitor and optimize environmental, health and safety (EHS) processes within the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to EHS.
  • Conducting internal audits with a focus on occupational health and safety, fire protection, ATEX and biological safety (Project Manager Genetic Engineering) as well as site safety.
  • Take over operational activities as an expert for occupational health and safety, ATEX, fire protection and/or environmental expert as well as identification of risks and preventive measures.
  • Responsibility over business continuity management
  • Maintaining contacts with external bodies, such as the Office for Occupational Safety, Employer’s Liability Insurance Association, etc.

What you have to offer.

  • Successfully completed degree in the natural sciences or, alternatively, successfully completed training with relevant additional qualification
  • Several years of relevant professional experience as an EHS manager, ideally in a manufacturing company in the biotechnology/chemical/pharmaceutical industry
  • Good knowledge of the legal basics of occupational health and safety as well as the BImSchG (Federal Immission Control Act)
  • Confident appearance, forward thinking as well as good communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills
