The Lead Engineer EHC FOAMS is part of the EHC business line organization dealing with customer applications for all EHC Foam applications. He/she interfaces in the EHC Application Core Team with the Program Manager, Product Development Team, Program Manufacturing Leader, Quality Leader and Purchasing. He/she is responsible for a robust, standardized and cost-efficient product proposal towards internal stakeholders as well as the customer itself.
  • Ensure robustness of the EHC component development for heating & emission performance, safety, durability, exaust line integration, cost effectiveness, manufacturing feasibility, etc.
  • Ensure a standardized design and integration proposal engineered by the the innovation / generic product development
  • Defines strategy to cope product diversity/complexity as per OEM specification together with lead manufacturing engineer
  • Approve design freeze and eBOM, DFMEA and DVP targets for customer projects
  • Manage customer engineering interface (prototypes, design, testing, and vehicle assembly) and be the single point of contact in the EHC Business Line for technical communication.
  • Analyses customer specification, RFQ documentations and builds customer specific validation strategy
  • Support problem solving for application projects
  • Lead the Product development team as technical project leader, managing product content to support meeting program financial targets with respect to product cost.
  • Lead Engineering PMS work package and engineering functional milestones for customer applications
  • Functionally lead the EHC application PDLs
  • Technical lead of application projects
  • Ensure coherent and standardized proposals for all customer applications of the EHC grid or foam product family (globally)
  • Ensures tight link to EHC Innovation and Generic Project
Qualifications :

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development (AFO experience)
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem solving skills
  • Experience in customer communication and customer project management
  • General automotive knowledge and Tier I or OEM engineering experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Strong networking skills and established network within Faurecia
  • Minimum language skills: English
Profile :

Schedule : Full-time

Contract : Regular, exempt.

Education Level : Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years experience (Master’s prefered)

Educational Program : Mechnical Engineering or related field

Travel : Could be as much as 30%. International travel on global programs possible
