Who We Are:The European Channel Merchandising team is responsible for highlighting the best of Wayfair through engaging, value-forward content, compelling product curation, and value-add offers to our European customers. We accomplish this by (1) creating limited-time sale experiences (including monthly clearances, industry holidays like Black Friday, and defining brand moments like Way Day), (2) developing our portfolio of engaging everyday sale and non-sale content used across our marketing channels, (3) highlighting value throughout the onsite experience, (4) building a strong merchandising experience across core marketing channels such as Catalogue and TV, and (5) launching and producing next-generation community-based video commerce content. Altogether, we create experiences that surprise and delight our customers, and give them the power to create spaces just right for them.
What You’ll Do:Reporting into the Global Head of Channel Merchandising you will have the incredible opportunity to lead our European Promotions, Email and Onsite Merchandising, and Catalogue & TV Merchandising teams, and also our Global Channel Merchandising Analytics team. This is a highly influential role where you will manage the holistic plan for all of Wayfair’s curated experiences in Europe and ultimately deliver a fun, personalized and seamless shopping experience for our customers. You will partner with teams across the European and Global business to build the strategy and drive action against our priorities for Wayfair.co.uk, Wayfair.de, and Wayfair Professional as well as any future European markets to which we may expand. This includes working closely with the Global Channel Merchandising team to drive innovation both at the global and the European level, to launch Wayfair’s video commerce experience in Europe, and to optimize workflows & build global platforms. You will also partner with EU Marketing and EU Creative to push forward our personalization efforts and drive opportunities for Catalogue & TV channel curation. Finally, as the leader of the Global Channel Merchandising Analytics team, you will be responsible for analyzing how our curated experiences are performing across global marketing channels, diagnosing performance trends, and enabling partner teams to better optimize their curations and content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the European Channel Merchandising organization (~20 FTEs) to define and execute our European Channel Merchandising vision in line with our broader European commercial strategy and reality.
- Lead the Global Channel Merchandising Analytics team (~5 FTEs) to help deliver insights to global partner teams and continued optimization of their curations and content.
- Work closely with EU Marketing, Brand, and Pricing teams to ensure our content & curations are optimally tailored to the European customer; build a European test & learn agenda.
- Act as a thought leader within the broader Global Channel Merchandising function to continue global platform enhancements, ensuring EU requirements are always reflected; to push forward our innovation roadmap; and to tailor and roll out new global initiatives across Europe (e.g., video commerce).
- Build your organization of the future: create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive team environment, enhance capabilities of each of the team members (specifically your direct reports) and establish a core definition of success (e.g., KPIs) for the teams.
- Communicate team vision and mandate to core team and cross-functional partners.

What You’ll Need:
- Extensive years of experience in relevant areas (e.g., Consulting, eCommerce, Start Up, Industry).
- Proven track record of leadership, taking ownership and driving results.
- Passion for leveraging large data sets to drive strategic insights.
- Well-rounded, versatile performer, capable of adapting as our business continues to evolve.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, technology- & data driven environment, and motivate teams to bring our future-state vision to life.
- Experience communicating, collaborating, and delivering business results with executive audiences.
- Experience in and passion for building high performance teams.
