To this end, Microsoft is investing in a dedicated Customer Success team member that will help the largest and most important companies in the world across all industries successfully adopt Microsoft Cloud solutions and services. 

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Engineering leader for the Customer Success organization. As the Engineering Lead for Azure Infrastructure, you will be responsible for leading a team of Cloud Solution Architects and help our customers with their Azure adoption through deep technical Architecture, design, and deployment engagements. As part of this role, you’ll be working closely with Customers, Cloud Solution Architects (CSA), Customer Engineers (CEs),) and CSA Managers to help drive customer adoption of Azure. You’ll also be responsible to identify patterns from these engagements and develop solutions working with different Azure engineering teams. Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include. 

• Working directly with our most strategic customer projects worldwide to ensure they are successful on the Azure platform with special focus on Architecture, Design, and deployment.
• Identify patterns from these customer engagements and codify them as Solutions (Prescriptive best practices and guidance for architecture, design, and associated reference implementation) to drive at WW scale working with Azure Engineering teams, Cloud Solution Architects (CSAs), Customer Engineers (CEs) and partners.
• Analyze top feedback themes based on worldwide customer engagements and work with Azure Engineering teams for prioritization.
• Lead a team of people and ensure their career success based on Model, Coach and Care framework, enable, and leverage their skills in achieving stated objectives. Hire, retain and grow talent on the team. 
• Work with Azure Infrastructure Technical Strategy PMs to drive worldwide motions leveraging frameworks such as Cloud Adoption Framework and Well Architected Framework.
• Drive Technical Intensity of worldwide Cloud Solution Architects (CSAs) across Azure Infrastructure portfolio of services.
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in technical leadership roles and must exhibit a breadth of knowledge across cloud computing topics and Azure, as well as depth hands-on expertise in Azure Infrastructure services.

Technical knowledge and experience 

• Extensive years working with large Enterprise customers and field communities in consulting or similar roles, leading deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and support of highly distributed applications OR: 
• Extensive  years of experience in building products and services as part of Engineering teams in engineering positions 
• Experience and expertise in designing highly available, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Experience translating customer and technical requirements to develop standards and architectures that meet customer expectations.
• Ability to develop deeply technical engineering whitepapers on technical topics and concepts.
• Deep expertise with Azure Infrastructure Services (Compute, Storage, Network, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure VMware Solutions, SAP, Hybrid etc.)
• A technical propensity to learn new technologies to stay abreast of Azure advancements and understand relevant cloud trends.
  

 Leadership, Collaboration, Communication 

• Strategic thinking with the ability to execute cross-org and drive for results in ambiguous environments, independence in decision making, ability to problem-solve. 
• Proven ability to quickly adapt in rapidly evolving business situations.  
• Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/projects. 
• Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through with exceptional verbal and written communication. 
• Strong Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences and with different levels of an organization 
  

 

Education Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience and/or certifications
