In this role you will coordinate and lead the Authorisation process for projects or vehicle platforms during all project phases until end of warranty, either within Alstom or within relevant countries (starting from bid phase to project closure).

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Manage authorisation activities and requirements and provide deliverables to achieve Vehicle Authorisation for Placing on the Market (VAPOM) including all sub-authorisations and test run approvals
  • Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) to external stakeholders, e.g. authorities / infrastructure managers
  • Represent projects to authorities
  • Provide project specific requirements and active collaboration within Risk- and Opportunity Management process
  • Take responsibility for budget and schedule of Authorisation Projects
  • Lead of authorisation team with respective Authorisation Country Leads and Design Assurance Managers and member of project core team
  • As member of product core team, develop the authorisation strategy as input to product roadmaps
  • Provision of Authorisation Expertise for Project Management and engineering organization
Key Requirements
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent required
  • Very good understanding of authorisation related requirements and activities for a dedicated project
  • Practical experience with leading, planning and review of authorisation activities
  • Strong experience in leading Authorisation process with authorities
  • Railway industrial experience will be an advantage
  • Fluent in English (German is an advantage)
