Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division is looking for a Key Account Manager Hospitals (m/f/d)

Description:

The position of Key Account Hospitals ID is within our Business Unit Infectious Disease, located at Alere GmbH, Germany, Cologne. The role of the Key Account Hospitals within the Infectious Market Business Unit is to ensure Abbott RDx leads in large scale moves toward POC within the public, private and strategic partners sectors. This will require managing and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders.

The Key Account Hospitals will drive the strategy of their business unit in these sectors, while being exemplary in living the Abbott values in collaborating with their colleagues in other Abbott divisions in generating solutions for customers.

The Key Account Manager works with the ARDx Ambassadors to increase ARDx’s market share and improve the market segment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Full responsibility for sales targets as well as planning and achievement of performance targets

  • Analysis, further development and implementation of value enhancement targets through the creation of customer-specific plans

  • Checking and ensuring compliance with customer-specific KPIs and identifying potential for improvement

  • Preparation and participation in meetings on the course of business

  • Ambassador’s support and motivation in sales, contract renewals and value enhancement, as well as strategic support in pricing

  • Their success is measured by the achievement of sales targets, economic profitability per market segment, customer satisfaction, new customer acquisition and turnover achieved

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Bilingual as a minimum

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine or medical technology or a comparable field

  • To be successful in the role the individual will need to have both proven Sales and Marketing background and also an established network with KOL and a strong ability to influence at a strategic

  • Solid understanding of differing European cultures

  • Deep understanding of organisational development related to market structure and needs

  • Able to travel up to 60% of their time

Competencies:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in the diagnostics industry with a focus on diagnostic distribution solutions, market share expansion and customer profitability improvement

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a field sales representative with sales responsibility

  • Proven track record in a similar position supported by management and customer references

  • Successful engagement with customers, specifically Business Management and key stakeholders

  • Excellent product and industry knowledge

  • Experience in dealing with managing directors and decision makers

  • Strong understanding of key stakeholders and customer dynamics

  • Strong solution selling and relationship building skills

  • Entrepreneurship and initiative

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge of project management and development of strategic solutions for the implementation of corporate goals

  • Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues

  • Long-term, strategic focus on account

  • Experience with the MS Office programs and Salesforce

  • Candidates must be fluent in local language and English

  • The position requires the willingness to travel on a frequent basis, i.e. on average three days per week
