(Junior) UX Designer @ BI X-2110603

THE ROLE


Depending on your experience and skills, the position can be filled either as Junior or Intermediate.

For both Junior and Intermediate UX Designer, your primary responsibility will be to drive user experience and design from end-to-end, including product strategy, research, interaction design and visual design. You will also be co-responsible with the other members of the cross-functional product team for fully identifying product market fit.

As an experienced UX Designer, you are an expert and have the complete ownership for the UX discipline in your product team. You set standards for the product design as well as guiding principles for the product team. You mentor colleagues to reach their full potential. You also have interest in data visualization and can create meaningful and impactful visual designs.

You bring experience in digital product design with a passion for resolving user pain points through innovation. Your heart beats for all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. You have the ability to get things done, collaborate effectively and are a good learner as well as a competent guide. You also inspire your peers and team members to learn and expand their skills. You always show openness to feedback and constructive criticism and continue to grow as a result.


PREREQUISITES

  • Degree in Interaction Design, UX Design, Service Design, or HCI
  • Strong communication skills to convince others of design processes, research outcomes, ideas, and solutions
  • English working proficiency skills (verbal and written)

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Some years of professional experience as a UX Designer with a proven track record of working with human-centered-design methodologies and bringing multiple large-scale products to market
  • Experience with conducting user research, usability testing, formative and summative user feedback sessions
  • Knowledge of the intense collaboration in a cross-functional agile team and with the ability to contribute meaningful approaches how to collaboratively discover and design within the agile context
  • Methodological expertise how to balance and prioritize business outcomes, user needs and technical feasibility
  • Track record in ad-hoc preparation and facilitation of collaborative design workshops for stakeholders and team members
  • UI design skills, including use of relevant software for UI design; demonstrable expertise in data visualization is considered a plus
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring other UX Designers

NON-TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • You combine creative and analytical skills to develop innovative solutions and find efficient answers to tough challenges.
  • Complex problem solving energizes you and you enjoy challenging the team for more innovative solutions and communicating this effectively.
  • You love to keep the customer in mind when designing solutions as a constant compass for your quality mindset.
