Your Responsibilities

At ista, your ideas can make a real difference. Apply now and join us at our international head office in Essen as:

• As part of an agile development team, you will be responsible for the development and enhancement of a Java application for the management of our building and equipment data.
• You will work independently on the technical conception of software solutions and support the subsequent implementation as well as integration into our IT landscape
• You support the expansion of test automation and further development of our CI/CD infrastructure
• You create technical concepts and data models to implement new requirements of our customers
• You support the deployment process as well as the monitoring of our systems
• You optimize existing and develop new integrations into other applications together with the responsible agile teams
• You support the product owner in advising our departments regarding the feasibility from a technical and economic point of view.
  

Your background

• You have successfully completed your university studies in the field of computer science or a related field of study, alternatively you qualify yourself through relevant professional experience in combination with further training measures
• You have many years of experience in the development of modern Java applications and microservices
• You are confident in using Spring Boot, Rest, SQL, JPA, Maven, Git, Kubernetes and Kafka
• You are familiar with relational databases and GraphQL
• Knowledge of TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, HTML5, CSS, microservices, Linux, Docker, GitLab, and pipelines is an advantage
• You have practical experience in agile ways of working (e.g. Scrum or Kanban), also across teams and scales
• Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills as well as a goal-oriented approach are very important to us
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile
