As a Field Application Engineering (FAE) working student in the "Battery Powered Applications, Robotics & Energy” segment of our PSS (Power & Sensor Systems) division, your main responsibility will be to support on everyday tasks w.r.t customer requests and expand our team’s knowledge by researching innovative solutions for various consumer & industrial applications. In your new role you will:
  • Expand your knowledge on Low-Voltage Motor Control & Photovoltaic applications, assess existing and propose alternative technical solutions
  • Understand Infineon’s portfolioand be in context with full-system solutionsfor various applications
  • Get hands-on experience with laboratory tasksby creating measurement setupsand experimenting on improving designs
  • Work with SIMetrixto create electrical simulations
  • Work with Altium Designer to explore the world of PCB design, from a schematic and as a layout Point-of-View
  • Support your experienced FAE counterpartfor trainings material and customer meeting

You are best equipped for this task if you:
  • Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, or preferably a Master’s degree, in Electrical, Electronic and/or Computer Engineeringor an equivalent subject
  • Are very communicativeand would like to combine your passion for technical marketing and customer support
  • Have a good understanding of Electrical Circuits and/or Power Electronicsand basic knowledge of lab measurement techniques
  • Already have a fundamental knowledge of Power Devices(like MOSFETs, Gate Drivers, etc.) and basic Spice simulation understanding
  • Are a highly motivated individualwith an i nnovative way of thinking, that likes to work autonomouslyand to create your own tasks in an efficient and structured manner
  • Possess good knowledge of MS Office, including PowerPoint & Excel
  • Are highly proficientin both spoken and written English

Important information:
  • Working part-time:The focus is on studies. Therefore, working student is possible during the lecture period with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome:You must be enrolled and the examination results or modules of your studies must not have been completed yet, so that you can still work in our team for at least 6 months. You must also not be in a semester of leave.
  • You should live close to the site:It is important for us to work with you on site and to integrate you into the team. You should therefore be able to come to the site regularly.
