• The testing manager role is essential and critical to the success of bringing Next Level Coffee’s vision of a connected coffee ecosystem (nunc.) from the current design phase into industrialization and mass production.
• In 2023, Next Level Coffee aims to industrialize the nunc. system
• Financial funding is secured for all necessary activities.
  

So what is the role?As our Test Manager, you will be responsible for managing all tests of the connected coffee machine and grinder system, from the current prototype stage to market entry. You will work closely with our team of hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless hardware and software integration, as well as functional and usability testing. You will also be responsible for establishing and executing test plans, and for identifying and communicating any defects and issues to the development team. These are some of your key respinsibilities:

• Creation, ownership and evolution of the overall testing approach,strategy and execution Work with our hard- and software engineers and coffee experts to develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy for our connected coffee machine and grinder system
• Develop and maintain testing infrastructure including test planning, test case development & execution, as well as test automation tools and frameworks for a connected IOT coffee system for home use
• Conduct functional, regression, endurance, performance and user experience testing of the system, both manually and through automated testing incl. documentation
• Collaborate with the team & tech lead to continuously improve the quality of the system and ensure that it meets the safety standards and regulations, as well as the high standards of the company and the coffee industry as a whole
• Be a core part of building nunc.labs. First decentral with different testing parties. Later establishing also a physical location as nunc.labs HQ
• Coordinate with external testing institutes like Baristas, Kaffeemacher, testing labs etc., but also the certification process including pre-certification

What you need for this role:

• 5+ years of experience in system testing, with a focus on hardware and software integration testing
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, Software Engineering or a related field
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
• System testing experience in IoT environments is a plus
• Passion for coffee and the coffee industry is a plus
