Software Engineer - Data Insights - (Cloud/Backend)

As a Software Engineer for the Data Insights team you will be responsible for maintaining the company’s main reporting tool, used by literally thousands of users. Besides making sure it’s working properly, you will maintain and develop a considerable amount of tooling around it, like Google SSO and third-party APIs integration or integration of our servers with the company’s CI/CD.

Our team runs infrastructure on Kubernetes and AWS, you’ll work closely with Senior DevOps and MicroStrategy engineers to extend our reporting platforms.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

• Enable Data Teams by developing software that will make their daily tasks easy.
• Integrate MicroStrategy, Tableau and Superset reporting tool to Zalando tech ecosystem
• Develop expertise in understanding data infrastructure processes
• Work closely with product manager to fulfill our product roadmap
• Consult Data Teams on how to improve their processes

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Posses a university degree in computer science, mathematics, economics or corresponding professional experience
• Experience with software engineering (Python, Go). Any other leading programming language is a plus.
• Experience working with MicroStrategy and MicroStrategy REST API is a plus.
• Good communication skills with a results-oriented approach to what you do. Creative thinkers who value accountability, goal-setting and focusing on solutions instead of problems.
