Your Future Position

As a system and network administrator, you will be responsible for the smooth functioning and expansion of our IT infrastructure. This includes our server landscape of Windows and Linux machines as well as the administration of our hybrid Microsoft 365 Active Directory environment. You will work closely with our developer team, which you will support with load balancing and cloud availability, for example. You will ensure secure communication within and between our two main locations in Recklinghausen and Herne

In addition, you can expect other exciting projects, such as the development of a DevOps structure and the transfer of our web and database servers to the cloud, which we want to tackle together with you. We explicitly want you to contribute your own ideas to all projects at all times.

Our online portal combines our digital and analog world of care and is continuously being developed by our team.

Your Tasks

  • You look after the VMware environment incl. hosts & storage
  • You administer and maintain virtual Windows and Linux machines
  • You maintain the Active Directory in a hybrid Microsoft 365 environment and the associated Windows clients
  • You ensure the smooth functioning of the network environment including firewalls
  • You support our web development team with the deployment of services (web servers, certificates, Docker, AWS Route 53 & SES)
  • You ensure stable communication between our two main locations
  • You evaluate the expansion and replacement of our client and server hardware

This Is You

  • Completed training as an IT specialist or completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of system and network administration
  • You have a good command of German (C1 business fluent)
  • Desirable are certifications in the areas of: VMware, Fujitsu Server & Storage, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 (Azure & Exchange Online), Sonicwall Firewalls & ESET security solutions
  • Enjoy innovative ideas and new technologies
