neuroloop®, a B.Braun Company, is a spin-off of the University of Freiburg and the Freiburg University Hospital. We develop based in Freiburg a platform to stimulate the vagal nerve for the treatment of chronic diseases in connection with autonomous body functions. The core of our platform is a multichannel cuff-electrode based on thin-film technology that allows us to selectively stimulate specific fibers within the nerve.

Our first product, the baroloop® stimulator, is specifically designed to treat high blood pressure. Our primary focus is to provide an outstanding clinical effectiveness while minimizing risks and side effects for the patient, and a simple and safe use for the caregiver.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Conceptual design, development and construction of electronic circuits in close cooperation with research, design and production.
  • Performing calculations and simulations, selecting suitable components, and commissioning and testing (in accordance with national and international standards).
  • Project documentation in compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines complete your profile.
Professional competencies
  • You have completed a degree in electrical engineering or a comparable degree or have acquired a comparable qualification.
  • You have minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in relevant fields.
  • You have profound knowledge in the development of analog and digital circuit technology, as well as the design of complex printed circuit boards (HDI).
  • Experience in high frequency technology, low energy electronics and EMC complete your profile.
  • A good command of written and spoken English is a prerequisite for communication in our international team.
Personal competencies
  • Preferably you have experience with frontend web technologies (e.g. VueJs/React/Angular), application programming (e.g. C++/Rust) and configuration of Linux systems
