Responsibilities

Within our global Digital Farming unit it is essential for our digital products to provide high-quality master data as foundation for recommendations, regulatory compliance, and model-based decisions. There you will be responsible for the architecture, development, processing and provision of BI data.

  • As (Senior) Data Scientist you translate Digital Farming business needs into IT requirements and concrete technical implementations covering the whole development lifecycle.
  • Additional, you are responsible to define the right architecture components, concepts, interface specification and development, best-case with good business understanding and ideally scientific background.
  • You participate in all phases of the product governance and development life cycle, including writing architecture documentation, epics and user stories and support the sprint planning in our agile development setup as required.
  • Working closely with product managers, capability areas, product engineers, solution architects and software developers as well as our commercial operations team is also a part of your daily work.

Qualifications

  • university degree in computer science, natural sciences, engineering, mathematics or related disciplines
  • at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • adept at implementing business requirements for data-driven, customer-centric IT solutions at a global enterprise level, ideally in the field of agriculture and digital farming
  • expertise in AWS cloud-based environments for server-based and serverless architectures as well as working in a DevOps-oriented, agile software development environment with good knowledge of enterprise application development and cloud-based architectures
  • excellent database design and development expertise
  • very good communication skills in English, German is an advantage
