For our Group Shared Service Center Department we are seeking to recruit a Project Manager Accounts Payable (f/m/d).

As a Project Manager Accounts Payable you will be responsible for the identification of gaps between existing processes and the global business processes defined by the Global Process Owner (GPO) as well as for launching and monitoring of process improvement initiatives.

In this role you will support the Group Shared Service Center GPOs during the SAP S/4HANA project, to ensure that the entire Group Shared Service Center business processes are fully converted into SAP S/4HANA. You will also support to develop process-based solution proposals with the target to achieve the highest possible added value from the SAP S/4HANA conversion and thus a high level of end user satisfaction within the SSC community and other business departments involved.

You will report to the Director Group Shared Service Center and you will be located in Heidelberg.


Your next challenge

  • Close collaboration with the Global Process Owners
  • Proactive cooperation with the entire Group Shared Service Center Team to share information, get guidance and document results
  • Develop and maintain business policies which drive our processes
  • Ensure compliance, standardization and harmonized processes across business lines
  • Understand business user needs and processes to suggest efficient end-to-end enhancements in close alignment with the GPO, business departments and our Digital team
  • Improve existing processes wherever possible with SAP S/4HANA to reach highly efficient performance indicators
  • Launching projects to identify best practices and to transfer the best-in-class solutions to the Shared Service Centers
  • Communicate and facilitate discussions with all involved parties, prepare and hold presentations to drive solutions on proposed features and functionalities
  • Work with Digital teams to ensure good fit to existing Infrastructure technologies and applications (where applicable), to obtain project budgets
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality transaction processes
  • Deliver process related trainings
  • Rollout and support of process related software tools


Your profile

  • University degree (Bachelor and/or Master degree)
  • 3 years’ experience in business process improvement initiatives, accounting background (accounts payable) and/or shared service center processes
  • Very good IT skills, especially in SAP ECC, ideally in SAP S/4HANA, workflow systems
  • Substantial accounting experience, IFRS knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent process knowledge in Purchase-To-Pay (accounts payable)
  • Ability to lead project teams in an international working environment
  • Energetic “hands on” approach with good organization skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Concentration on results, control and process efficiency
  • Fast and consistent implementation of decisions
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel to business offices as appropriate and as necessary
