As a Product Marketing Engineer (PME) you will be responsible for all marketing related activities for our SiC products focusing in the evolving Solid-State Circuit Breaker (SSCB) devices. The PME will work with Sales, Applications, Operations and Development teams to enable customer support with SiC products (die, discrete and modules) for SSCB in automotive and industrial markets.What can Wolfspeed do for you?SSCB is a new fast evolving market where SiC product differentiation and value-add enables a faster adoption. Responsibilities
  • Understand market needs and customer requirements and translate them to specific product requirements for new product development with critical features and value proposition for target market applications with clear business plans
  • Develop marketing strategies, manage new product launches including supporting pricing and channel stocking
  • Align with R&D, Production/Operation and Applications for NPI/NTI and product enhancement
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering and/or business partners for developing end-equipment collaterals such as reference designs, demos, application notes and expert articles
  • Understand and develop cost structures and models for product pricing strategy and business plans
  • Be a technical expert on competitive analysis and product positioning in the market
  • Periodically track and report key business updates, opportunity funnel
  • Develop and present materials at technical seminars, tradeshows and distributor training
  • Define, generate and deliver sales tools, application notes and/or technical guidelines as well as technical field and customer training
What you need for success:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical engineering field
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device technology and assembly
  • Strong understanding of power semiconductor testing, qualification and reliability
  • Strong understanding of power semiconductor applications
  • Good general knowledge of both power sales, power markets and customer base
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong verbal, written & presentation communications skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly including internationally as necessary
  • Self-motivated with strong drive to achieve business objectives
  • Ability to blend the technical and commercial to deliver a balanced approach to problem solving
  • Strong analytical skills and experience
Preferred:
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or MBA
  • 5+ years of relevant sales/marketing experience in semiconductor industry
  • Experience in supporting new and emerging applications
  • Extensive experience supporting customers, direct sales and distribution sales partners
  • Extensive experience with new product launch and new business development
