What We Offer

Management Accounting is responsible for the definition, implementation, and governance of globally harmonized value flow concepts in order to enable effective business steering and decision making. Furthermore, Management Accounting helps to ensure the timeliness, quality, and compliance of the financial reporting which is used as the basis for internal business steering and external group reporting.
  • As a Process Expert (m/f/d), you have a very good knowledge of the end-to-end processes within Management Accounting (Product Costing, Inventory Valuation, Value Flows (Overhead Management and Profitability Analysis)).
  • You are managing the design and implementation of Management Accounting concepts, performs activities during month-end closing, and you help support the global Management Accounting organization.
  • You ensure harmonization and standardization of Management Accounting processes across all Covestro legal entities. This requires a close collaboration and coordination with various departments, organizations, and functions within Covestro.
  • You are responsible for Quality assurance on production and non-production value flows.
  • You enforce and support the implementation of global Management Accounting policies, procedures, and processes incl. enabling technologies.
  • You are assisting and sometimes leading projects (M&A, reorganizations, production-related projects, etc.) and you are contributing to projects as process expert (m/f/d).
  • You support continuous improvement and you ensure compliance with group requirements (production, controlling, steering logic) as well as legal requirements (IFRS, IAS, HGB).

What You Offer
  • University degree in Business Management, Engineering, IT-related, or a comparable branch of study
  • Several years of experience, preferably in controlling, accounting, IT, or comparable function
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant IT systems, including SAP (CO, FI, and logistics modules [e.g., PP-PI, MM, and SD]), also ideally S4/HANA experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of applications which are used to support data analysis: Excel, Access, Business Warehouse (BW), etc.
  • Ability to understand and implement concepts based on the various interfaces between business processes, departments, logistical areas, and IT systems.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of internal and external reporting-related accounting standards (IFRS, IAS, HGB)
  • Extensive experience in project management, also ideally international project experience
  • Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
