仕事内容
At Picnic, we’re revolutionizing the way people buy groceries today with our innovative and sustainable modern milkman, app-only concept. We develop a whole new idea in-house, developing cutting-edge technologies and processes to ensure we continue the rapid growth without missing a beat. If you’re up for the challenge of taking Picnic from North Rhine-Westphalia across the whole Germany and help scaling up the modern milkman, then make sure you talk with us!P.S. Come to meet us in person at our next Data Thursdays Event on 23rd of February at Picnic HQ in Dusseldorf! Here you’ll find all the details!
In a nutshell
Did you know that...
- we are a Dutch company founded in 2015 and active in The Netherlands, Germany and France, counting 1000+ talents in our central offices and more than 17 000 talents in operations across three countries?
- we build 25+ tech products in-house and 20+ AI/ML projects like drop times optimization (read here), article demand forecast or personalization on the previously purchased articles?
- we operate with a fleet of electric vehicles (read here), build most of our supply chain in-house (read here) and do only next-day delivery that allows us to set up a sustainable supply chain model?
- we raised €600M in our Series D round of funding to further build and grow the best milkman on earth?
" I am developing data-driven approaches to ensure that all products reach our customers always in the best possible condition. In a first step, this requires developing a deep understanding of which factors cause products to get damaged along the fulfilment and distribution process. Based on this, we develop an algorithm that predicts which delivery boxes have a high risk of containing damaged products. Those boxes we then check in our Fulfilment Centers to prevent damages in the first place ", Konstantin Biel
What you’ll do
You’ll work on a wide range of projects and concepts which can vary from supply chain optimization problems to pricing or assortment strategies, to online store efficiency (we’re an app-only store, imagine how much we can improve out there through data) and so on. We’ve only started in 2015, can you imagine how much is out there that we still didn’t even figure out yet? With operations across three countries, you’ll work with stakeholders from Germany, The Netherlands and France and you’ll have the chance of driving innovation everywhere.
