42 Wolfsburg is a recently launched, disruptive higher education NGO/start-up educating 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment. 42 Wolfsburg is based on the internationally successful concept of school "42" which was funded 2013 in Paris and today trains 10‘000 students in 33 schools, world wide. At 42 Wolfsburg we set out to educate the next generation of German software engineers to build the digital (mobility) infrastructure of our societies – this means meaningful work, excellent career opportunities and lots of responsibility.

Presence in Wolfsburg is essential to work with and care for the students as well as to nurture a good team culture. We are looking for candidates who can be trusted to take ownership and deliver good outcomes, rather than checking in and out with the clock.

Tasks

As Hospitality Lead you’ll be responsible for a productive and friendly school environment (onsite and online).

Alongside our Operations Lead you’ll set up processes and routines for dealing with students requests, everyday on-site management and the management of front desk personnel.

You’ll support our students and student council with facilitating extracurricular student acitivites such as interest groups, events or any volunteering activities in the school.

You’ll furthermore be the heart and soul of our school event planning and keep our students happy by offering them a great program of extracurricular activities. In this regard you’ll be working closely with our Marketing Lead and our Pedagogy Lead to deliver excellent outcomes.

Requirements
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and can do attitude; ownership of tasks and projects,
  • Balanced, patient and positive character,
  • Effective and charming communication skills in English and German (other languages esp. French highly welcome),
  • Some hospitality experience,
  • Some event management experience and
  • Some experience in social media and (online) community building.
