We are DONE!Berlin, an international company in the field of organizational consulting. This also includes the recruitment, which we take over for renowned ventures or startup customers nationally and internationally.

Our client, a well-known European logistics company, has grown to a trusted brand in their sector over the last years. As being successful in their area, they would like to grow even more now and therefore are building up their first sites in Berlin and Cologne. It is their mission to revolutionize logistics, delivery, and shopping into a smooth, sustainable, and all day available service.

We now seek you as a Head of Production Germany.

Tasks

As Head of Production Germany, you will be responsible for service delivery, P&L management, and people management for an operation with millions of parcels and thousands of drivers. Next to that, you will also be working on:

  • Build a team of Regional Managers and Hub Managers capable of leading our operations
  • Take responsibility for service delivery of all packages delivered (locker and home delivery) with great consumer service
  • Manage a P&L encompassing hundreds and soon thousands of drivers
  • Build a suitable warehouse network
  • Establish processes for all basic functions, adapting from HQ but tailoring to the local market
  • Ensure a motivated team of drivers and warehouse staff
  • Manage legal compliance together with the HR team
  • Innovate within the logistics space to create new solutions
  • Continuously identify improvements to logistics model, warehouse or driver operations
Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Science, Engineering or similar
  • Minimum of 10 years business experience, and at least 7 years leadership experience in an operational role
  • Based ideally in Berlin, willing to travel within Germany
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen
  • Data-driven and analytical
  • Strong people leader at a senior level to coach other managers
  • Equally comfortable with the detail of daily operations and thinking at a strategic level
  • Passionate about building your team and a successful operation
  • Excellent German and English communication skills (written and spoken)
