About Our ClientMy client is a leading specialty provider of minimally invasive cardiac devices whose mission is to improve the quality of life for people with heart disease.On behalf of my client I am currently looking for a Head of IT Operations (m/f/d) for the Jena site. The company’s vision is to become the world’s leading specialty provider of cardiac devices.Job Description
  • Suggestion, development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and processes
  • Exploration of new services and technologies together with the CIO
  • Establishment of security architecture and implementation of relevant procedures and controls
  • Ensuring consistency and maintainability of existent infrastructure environments through the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of well documented standards and procedures for the implementation of technical solutions and services
  • Establishment of operational and capital budgets to address the needs of various areas of the IT department
  • Improvement, implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure services
  • Operational responsibility of business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Recommendation and implementation of new investments within the technology infrastructure and IT services
  • Mentorship role to the IT operation team and Technology personnel, promoting their professional growth
The Successful Applicant
  • University degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in a leading IT position
  • Highly knowledgeable in enterprise level Cloud technologies and be competent in defect tracking in ITSM and agile management tools
  • Ability to work with senior business leadership and in a collaborative environment
  • Conversational English, German is a plus
  • Independent, communicative and goal-oriented way of working
