Our team in Essen currently has an opening for a Global Program Manager – Finance Transformation (m/f/d)

Brenntag’s finance transformation is part of the overall “Leaping to new heights” journey to ensure and promote functional excellence and its scaling. In this respect, Brenntag’s Finance setup should be transformed towards a more functionally steered organization.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

In this newly created function, you will have the opportunity to lead a complex, global functional program to drive finance towards functional excellence.

You will lead the overall project, identify areas to enhance towards finance functional excellence, initiate an implementation roadmap, manage the project execution according to plan, set up the governance steering. Furthermore, the Global Senior Program Manager Finance Transformation will team up with finance sub-functions like Corporate Controlling, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Global Shared Services and Divisional Controlling to ensure the development and execution of the finance transformation initiatives. You will drive the implementation while working globally and cross functionally.

In this position you will report to the Senior Vice President Shared Services Brenntag Group. The place of work will be located at Brenntag Headquarters in Essen, Germany.

YOUR PROFILE

To successfully fulfill our expectations, you ideally should bring with:
  • Master’s in international business administration with 7-12 years professional experience, is most welcome – alternatively you have successfully covered comparable function in the chemical industry for 8-10 years
  • Functional background in Finance with excellent process understanding and process improvement
  • Senior leadership & project management experience in a global business environment
  • Previous experience in Finance Transformation and leading continuous improvement initiatives in a similar business environment
  • Experience in business transformation, change management and process improvement initiatives
  • Have a solid understanding of end-to-end business processes like record to report, order to cash, procurement to pay as well as interlinkage with other finance processes and related risk controls
  • Ability to lead complex process improvement projects and project management skills
  • Analytical, conceptual and project management skills and the capability to follow through in an international environment with different mentalities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including international language skills
  • Like to work for and in a global, international team
