As Global Key Account Manager (m/f/d) you will be leading the commercial engagement with responsibility and accountability for assigned Key Account customers on a global level.Your Role
Our customers are looking for a partner they can rely on to streamline their end-to-end processes across all transport modes. The supply chains for our high-tech customers are very complex and dynamic, facing seasonal effects and being spread across multiple regions. In this role you have the chance to take over well-established business relationships with a Corporate Partner customer and keep us on track with our ambitious goals and high customer satisfaction. In close alignment and collaboration with our regional Key Account Management as well as the Business Units Sea Logistics, Air Logistics, Road Logistics and Contract Logistics you will be driving the business and organizational development of the customer.
Your Responsibilities
- Directly manage the Key Account, in accordance with agreed targets, goals and based on company guidelines, eliciting customer needs
- Develop appropriate solutions with Business Units in line with the contractual terms established with the Key Account
- Negotiate rates with customers in alignment with the Business Units and ensure company commercial offers are documented and maintained
- Complie with KN sales management processes and systems and ensure correct and timely updates (CRM system)
- Monitor monthly performance (incl. DSO) against set targets, and ensure immediate actions taken in case of deviations (incl. timely / accurate reporting)
- Effectively hand over and transition new business into operations to ensure that customer requirements and Kuehne+Nagel commitments are met
- Conduct regular and structured review sessions with assigned customers, including process for continuous improvement and innovation, review of customer strategy and priorities as well as operational excellence delivery
- Conduct strategic sessions with internal and customer stakeholders in order to continually drive innovation within the business
- Successfully completed academic degree, ideally with a focus on logistics
- Profound experience in a global sales environment, selling international logistics and supply chain - covering both forwarding and contract logistics or distribution solutions
- Strong understanding of the culture, objectives and strategies of account management and the ability to identify and maximize opportunities, track progress and measure activity against goals
- In-depth knowledge of the High Tech sector or of similar fast-paced and dynamic industries,
- Strong leadership skills to drive key account initiatives across regions and to establish a strong sense of direction and identity for the team
- High customer orientation and strong communication skills for building collaborative and trusting relationships with key influencers within the customer organization as well as within Kuehne+Nagel
- Willingness to travel globally and use modern communication tools for close engagement with global stakeholders
