Who You Are
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Services Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Chief Services Officer, your main responsibility will be to drive the financial results for our Services & Satellite Operations department, in alignment with the company’s 5-year Financial Plan. You will collaborate closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) area to develop and expand our service offerings in classical space, new space and aviation.
A key focus of this role is to strengthen and grow our Operations as a Service (OaaS) business. This includes defining service offerings, delivery models, revenue models, as well as identifying strategic partners and technologies that can contribute to our growth. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and driving the service innovation strategy, working closely with the CCO and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) areas. You will serve as the main point of contact for our large clients, ensuring their needs are met and exploring opportunities for further collaboration.

What You Will Focus on
In order to successfully execute our service strategy for large programs, you will work with the CCO area to define program-specific approaches and establish the necessary program management capabilities. This will involve collaborating with cross-departmental teams and resolving any key delivery issues that may arise.As a Chief Services Officer, you will also play a crucial role in coordinating and driving sales funnel activities for existing accounts across divisions. You will provide guidance and support to opportunity leads, ensuring that strategic bids are approached with the right decisions and concepts.
Leading and motivating the department staff will be an essential part of your role. You will provide guidance, performance management and foster engagement within the team to ensure their success and development.
As a member of the leadership team, you will contribute to the overall strategy development of the company. This includes developing strategic goals and action plans for the department and ensuring their successful execution.
You will be accountable for the further development of Service Delivery Processes, ensuring clarity, visibility and continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness. Compliance within your area of responsibility is paramount and you will encourage people to raise compliance concerns whilst providing support and preventing any form of retaliation.
What You Bring
- An Engineering degree (Aerospace, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering), MBA preferred
- 10+ years of multinational experience in the aerospace industry with demonstrated leadership responsibility in a matrix structure
- Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate strategies into actionable plans
- Excellent leadership and management skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and engage teams
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop and maintain key client relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Fluency in English, proficient in German, Italian is a plus
