What are we looking for
We have a requirement for a C&I Engineer with either an electrical or control bias. Working within the design team, participating in the delivery of Megawatt scale electrolyser systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of electrolyser electrical and control systems technology
- Approval, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation (e.g. cause & effect, alarm lists, cable schedules, test plan).
- Act as a technical authority on control and/or electrical issues.
- Development of electrical or control and safety concepts.
- Creation of user requirements and functional design specifications.
- Participate in safety studies and design reviews.
About You
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience (> 5 years) working within an electrical and control engineering role.
- Experience specifying and approving PLC and MCC electrical panel designs.
- Capability to work on multiple project simultaneously.
Skills and Abilities
- Candidate should have strong organisational skills, be self-motivated and enjoy working in a team environment.
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the design.
- Fluent German and English Language skills both written and verbal.
- European travel is essential in this role so you must have availability to travel to the UK and internationally to site and vendors workshop
Advantageous:
- Siemens PLCs, specifically S7-300/400/1200/1500 programming in TIA Portal, Step 7 or PCS 7.
- Safety systems including safety relays and safety PLCs (and/or FS Eng. Qualification).
- Cable specification and design in accordance with BS 7671/IEC 60364.
- Experience with electrical CAD packages, specifically EPLAN.
- Experience with hazardous area design and equipment selection – in accordance with ATEX standards (60079).
- Experience in the process sector with typical industrial instrumentation.
