The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Automation Accountant (AA) plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data and processes within the organization. While transactional accounting work is handled by our shared service center, the Automation Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization while leveraging Microsoft Power Automate and Copilot expertise. This position requires strong logical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
As an Automation Accountant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Utilizing Microsoft Power Automate to streamline and automate financial processes and workflows, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency
  • Analyzing financial data provided by the shared service center using Microsoft Copilot to assist in writing scripts for data analysis. Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
  • Assisting with internal and external audits, including providing documentation, and remediating audit findings. Using Power Automate to streamline the audit process and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Monitoring internal controls related to financial processes and transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal and external standards (US-GAAP, statutory GAAP and GFS)
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate and Copilot
  • Experience in automating tasks
  • Excellent logical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Work location: Poland or Germany (remote)
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
