Technical Project Supervisor (m/f/d) (Traveler)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise large technical retrofit projects on board the cruise fleets of AIDA and Costa in the areas of
  • Modification and optimization of ship’s supply systems e.g. HVAC-R system, steam system, fuel system, waste heat recovery, lighting systems
  • Installation of new power supply systems e.g Shore Power Connections
  • Upgrade of environmental systems e.g. exhaust gas cleaning, waste water treatment, fresh water production, waste handling systems
  • Communicate with ship and shore management and provide formal reporting
  • Supervise external partners and contractors and coordinate activities with ship operation
  • Ensure a safe and economic execution of projects in alignment with applicable rules and regulations and company standards
  • Ensure high quality execution of project activities
  • Drive the safety and environmental protection culture
  • Support a positive and constructive environment and culture with seamless integration between ship and shore, other departments, Costa and the Carnival group

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marine (mechanical, electrical) engineering, marine electronics or similar
  • Preferably minimum 3 years professional or senior professional experience in the area of marine (mechanical, electrical) engineering, cruise industry preferred
  • Preferably IMO / Certification CoC “STCW III/6” and able to obtain an Italian Endorsement
  • Able to travel within the fleet to supervise all the jobs related to the projects, on ships in operation and in and normal maintenance especially dry dock periods
  • Junior leadership skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and able to learn
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and to work in a multicultural team
