Summary of the Role

As a Technical Manager Infrastructure (m/f/d), you’ll be a member of the R&D Business Unit in Würselen and our global engineering community.

You will be working ina team of System Engineers and NetworkEngineers and together you will develop and maintain our infrastructure on premise and in the cloud.

In this role you’ll:

• 
  Create the future infrastructure vision, combining on premise hardware and network services as well as (public) cloud service
• Ensure stable operations of our datacenters together with your team of server and network engineers
• Work closely with other operations and development teams and provide compute power for our applications
• Troubleshoot server and network issues together with other experts from development and services

• Strive for automation in your area of responsibility (Infrastructure as Code)

To succeed in the role, you’ll need:

• 
  Strong technical experience in the area of network or server administration
• Experience in linux system administration (Ubuntu or other debian-based system preferred)
• Knowledge about current cloud technologies
• First management experience, either as team lead or project manager in the area of infrastructure operations

You’ll also have great skills and abilities:

• 
  Investigate new technologies, learn new methods and innovation
• Advanced level of written and oral English and German communication skills
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
• Comfortable in a multi-cultural, international organization
• Proactive with a ‘can-do’ attitude
