Position Summary

The Technical Project Manager is leading an engineering team within a dedicated project and is responsible of the planning, execution and follow up of the engineering activities according BorgWarner processes in our location in Nürnberg. You will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team, working on latest state of the art 800V SiC and 400V Si / SiC Inverters for Battery Electric Vehicles and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles for the eMobility mass market.

Job Location Nürnberg or Luxembourg

Key Roles And Responsibilities
  • Manage the activities of all engineering disciplines, like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, System Engineering, Validation, etc.
  • Manage development according BorgWarner processes
  • Manage product releases
  • Manage Engineering Change Requests
  • Manage customer communication and present the project status in weekly project meetings with the customer
  • Interface with the project team members of other locations, like Luxembourg or USA.
  • Interface with sample shop and production
  • Request solution support to management when necessary
  • Contribute to a team-work focused approach and provide guidance to select the best solutions and make it a reality.
Job Requirements And Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Masters Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic or comparable degrees
  • 10 plus years of experience in Automotive Electronic or or e-Mobility Engineering
  • 3 years in Leader position, managing customer, planning and resource for complex product
  • High Voltage Inverter experience
  • Understanding of vehicle Inverter and e-Machine systems requirements
  • Work in a diversified team, where strong cross-team and cross-domain communication skills are key
  • Basic understanding of Functional Safety and ISO26262 is a benefit
  • Big picture thinker with an eye for details
  • Fluency in English and German is required
